This is the 4th tig welder I’ve owned, my 1st was a Vevor DC only, then a major leap to a Weldpro tig 200 AC/DC which was a bit
complicated accessing all the parameters, my 3rd unit was a Vulcan Protig 205 which was excellent but too bulky for my limited space.
Finally I purchased the Arccaptain tig 200 AC/DC which has all the functions you’ll ever need in a compact portable size at an affordable price and it does the job.

This is an awesome little AC/DC TIG welder! As a beginner TIG welder myself, I’ve been really impressed by how easy the welder is to set up and use.
ARCCAPTAIN includes basically everything you need to start welding right out of the box. The only things you’ll need to add are your argon gas bottle, PPE equipment, filler rods, and some additional tungsten electrodes.
The included torch consumables for the WP-26 torch are great for getting started, but I’d definitely recommend upgrading with a stubby collet/gas lens kit to make the torch more compact and allow for larger cup sizes with better shielding gas coverage. ARCCAPTAIN even offers such a kit.
I really like the on-demand cooling fan of this welder. It’s much better than having a fan constantly running when the machine isn’t being used.

Straight out of the box, with no adjustments other than selecting the voltage, this machine laid down incredibly impressive beads on aluminum. The arc stability is outstanding, allowing you to dial in exactly what you need for any job.
In my opinion, this is the best value AC/DC TIG machine available. The included TIG accessory kit is an exceptional bonus, providing everything you need including cups, collet bodies, and other essential consumables.
Another huge advantage is that the foot pedal provides true heat control instead of acting as a simple on/off switch.
Do yourself a favor and buy this machine—you won’t regret it.
